ZEISS announces the release of its all-new first focal plane riflescope – the ZEISS LRP S3. The new riflescope for long-range precision shooting and hunting includes impressive total elevation travel, advanced optics, daytime visible illuminated reticle, ballistic stop, and an external locking windage turret.
1. The zeiss weighs in @ 17.5oz vs the z3 @ 12ish. I don't know why Zeiss made the new HD5 scopes so heavy, but that has been a deal breaker for me personally. 2. I prefer the ballistic turret over the/any velocity reticle because I don't want to me married to a certain power for the reticle to be true. With the BT system you can do one of two ...
I was about to purchase a Vortex 6-24x50 Viper HS-T retails $629 Then I just found a Zeiss MC Conquest Rifle Scope 6.5-20x 50mm on sale for $599 reg $849. Anyone have any experience with the two? Looking on input on which would be the better scope.
Gents, Has anyone directly compared these two scopes side-by-side and if so, what was your take on it? Do you think that the Razor Gen 2 is a closer comparison to this Zeiss? Apologies if this has already been discussed and I missed it.
Now Zeiss has entered the budget long range shooting world with their all new Zeiss Conquest V4 line of scopes. There are 4 scopes in this line, with expected pricing around the $1000 mark. I was pleased to receive two pre-production model Zeiss Conquest V4 scopes to review: a 4-16x44 and a 6-24x50.
LRP S3 Archives The ZEISS LRP S3 first focal plane riflescopes provide the best-in-class total elevation travel combined with an advanced optical system.
Hi there, I got a Zeiss discount cert and is debating between S3 6-36 and S5 5-25 for prs centerfire rifle. Does anyone have experience with both of them? Simple question would be: is S5 $700 better than the S3? I have tried my friend's S3 at the range and find the eyebox bit tight comparing...
Zeiss scopes have good glass & coatings along with repeatable mechanisms. They are quality scopes. Nightforce scopes are much heavier & are quality by any measure. If I was building a mountain rifle, or any rifle I would cary on long hunts, I would rate a Zeiss ahead of a Nightforce since it meets the requirements of THAT hunt better than the NightForce, but if I was building a heavy magnum ...
Zeiss Conquest V4 Riflescope Field Test And Review: 6-24x50 ZMOA-1 & 4-16x44 Illuminated ZBR-2 By Mike Durocher Unboxing of the Zeiss Conquest 6-24 and 4-16 V4's was a treat to say the least! Packaging was very clean allowing easy access to the goodies inside.
The Zeiss V6 reminds me of the older Diavari FL scopes, but the V6 is merely a "Conquest". ? Swarovski apparently gave up on marketing since I can't find much on the optical specs for their Z6 line. I read the glass used depends on the specific model in the Z6 line.
