The Los Angeles Dodgers added a pair of versatile infielders to their depth chart Friday, claiming Ryan Fitzgerald from the Minnesota Twins and reportedly reaching agreement on a one-year contract with free agent Andy Ibañez.
With Tommy Edman's status for Opening Day unclear, the Dodgers are giving themselves plenty of options for the middle infield.
On Friday, Francys Romero reported on X that utility infielder Andy Ibandez agreed to a one-year deal with the Dodgers. Ibanez, 32, primarily plays third and second base but made four appearances at first with the Detroit Tigers in 2025.
