The Ohio Lottery tells 3News the winning ticket was sold at Acme Fresh Market #14, which is located at 3235 Manchester Road in Akron. The winning ticket, which had auto-pick numbers, matched the five main balls in the Powerball drawing -- but just missed the $126.3 million jackpot for failing to match the red Powerball.
It’s a lucky day in New York for two lottery players. Two winning Powerball tickets worth $50,000 were sold in Manhattan and New Rochelle. In Manhattan, the third-prize-winning ticket was sold at Players Cafe on Bleecker Street.
A record-breaking jackpot of over $1.8 billion for the Powerball game is dominating headlines across the nation; however, the winner of the ticket has yet to come forth. The record-breaking ticket was purchased in the state of Arkansas, yet after the winning game show, the ticket still remains unclaimed.
“Winning tickets purchased at a lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back. Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed. Players may visit pa.lottery.com for more information about how to file a claim.”
More than 70,000 other Powerball tickets sold in California also won prizes ranging from $4 to $40,000, the lottery said.
According to Washington’s Lottery, multiple winning lottery tickets sold in King County have yet to be claimed — many of them worth $10,000 or more. For example, there is a $10,000 prize up for grabs in Tacoma. The Match 4 ticket matched all four winning numbers — 5, 7, 12 and 21 — in the Oct. 24 drawing.
