SEATTLE - Sunny weather will continue in western Washington through the holiday weekend. A strong ridge of high pressure will stay in place through the MLK Jr. holiday weekend, bringing chilly clear mornings and lots of daytime sunshine.

Seattle weather: Foggy Wednesday, mostly cloudy with mild temperatures
It will be a foggy start to Wednesday with areas of dense fog and even patchy drizzle. Wednesday will be a few degrees cooler than Tuesday, but still in the low 50s. Skies will remain mostly cloudy through the afternoon. High pressure will continue to build over the next several days, allowing for more sunshine and dry skies.

Seattle weather: More sunshine Friday with highs in the 50s
Fog will clear faster Friday, bringing more sunshine and mild temperatures across the region. Gusty easterly winds are expected in the foothills and South Sound, especially near North Bend and Gold Bar.
Following Western Washington’s round-after-round of rainfall, the Seattle area will dry out beginning in the middle of the week.
Seattle experienced minor coastal flooding, and the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory. Rain is expected to continue throughout the week, with no sign of easing.
On Monday at 11:26 p.m. the NWS Seattle WA issued an updated winter storm warning valid from Tuesday 4 a.m. until Thursday 4 p.m. The warning is for Cascades of Whatcom and Skagit counties, Cascades of Snohomish and Northern King counties,
