Parts of Upper Bucks County have the greatest chance of seeing measurable snow of up to 3 inches, according to the National Weather Service. The snow should fall mainly before 2 p.m. and in some spots it may turn over to rain earlier, lowering totals.
Between 1 and 3 inches of snow could fall the evening of Jan. 14 through several counties north of Columbus, including Richland, Ashland, Wayne and Stark counties, which include the cities of Mansfield, Wooster and Canton. All are currently under an NWS winter weather advisory.
Rain and snow is expected in the early morning throughout New Castle County before it turns into snow around 8 a.m., creating slippery roads.
The National Weather Service bumped the odds up to 25% from about 10% in their morning forecast. The area could see a few flakes or an hour or two of periodic wet snow.
A fast-moving cold front will swing into the Triad Saturday morning, bringing a quick shot of rain for the area, and the possibility of some wet snow/mix for the NW foothills. Amounts will be highly dependent on the surface temperatures and the amount of dry air at the surface.
A wintry mix of snow and rain is expected throughout Delaware this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
An area of low pressure brings the chance for wintry weather on Sunday. Parts of central North Carolina could get snow mixing in with a cold rain.
How much snow will fall as two weather systems converge over the Island is uncertain, according to the National Weather Service.
Areas with possible winter precipitation to watch for, such as freezing rain, snow, and ice potential, would be Live Oak, White Springs, Tallahassee, and Perry, just to name a few. However, Tallahassee would be the most likely city at this time for a good chance of actual winter precipitation.
