Anamorphic Art: The Optical Illusion That Reveals Hidden Portraits!

An anamorphosis is an artistic trick such that you can only see what the artist intended to show when you look at the artwork from the right angle. Here is a famous example from 1533, called The Ambassadors by Hans Holbein the Younger (c. 1497-1543). The weird object at the bottom is hard to identify from most angles, but if you see it from the right one, it clearly looks like a skull.
