Adding a silt trap has been immensely beneficial in keeping the lake cleaner and preventing the issues this lake had over the past 70 years, during which the upper end of the lake accumulated so much silt that trees began to grow in it. After spending a significant amount of money to clean it out, I decided to install a silt trap to prevent this from happening again.
