The sound of a class 43 power car idling. These were originally fitted with Paxman Valenta engines, but were refitted with the more efficient, and quieter, MTU engines as part of a service life extension project. The Valenta engine had a very different sound! But it’s still nice to hear the MTU engine ticking over. #HST | Adrian Watson
