My keys to avoid 3 putts 1. I practice with 3 balls, trying to never hit the same putt twice in a row. (Unless I have a block practice station set up for short putts) 2. I stagger balls in distance by a few feet from varying distances. I hit the first putt, if it’s short, I hit my second putt from further back. If it’s long I move closer.
