Tiny turt update time! 🐢💕 The hatchling Eastern Musk Turtle (Sternotherus odoratus) who arrived on Halloween is doing very well! This tiny patient is overwintering in our care after a suspected predator dug up their nest, which we suspect they and their siblings were using to overwinter. Unlike Box Turtles, aquatic turtles have no saliva, meaning that they must be in water to swallow their food.
